I went for a random walk

And bumped into an estate sale at the Le Fontaine apartments.

Recall that post

Steve’s

The place were stars like Bette Midler, Cheryl Crowe, Dane Cook, and Steve Martin once lived.

So I went in, and holy smokes, I got into Martin’s old unit!

I made an ugly video, starting with his bathroom.

Meanwhile, I’ve been reading a lot of Elmore Leonard and was reminded, sadly, how even the best of writers need a day job.

Then I heard somebody talking WAY too loud.

I sure hope these folks are having better luck at spotting Hollywood celebrities than I did at the “Car Wash of the Stars” and the “Cleaner to the Stars” (recall this post).

I stopped by an art gallery only to discover that it was featuring a painting of Sally and me.  Very weird!

And this caught my eye.  I like it:  “Open past late.”

Btw, here’s what’s waiting on the other side of that ramp.  So when I win the lottery....

I continued on Santa Monica Boulevard, all the way to Beverly Hills.  And took a photo.

We got a land line for our new place.  We use it to call our mobile phones when we can’t find them.

Calls we make from that land line tell the person on the other end that the call is coming from Beverly Hills.  Impressive!

So I’ve been using is to phone old high school classmates who didn’t vote for me to be class president.

You know, showing off a bit.

I turned, headed back, and stopped by the West Hollywood library across the street from the dramatically deep red, green, and blue Pacific Design Center.

Pacific Design Center

Whoever designed the library did a terrific job of integrating it with the Design Center.  I was impressed!  Great library.

Oh, and there at the library I at last bumped into a bunch of Hollywood stars!  It figures. You can always count on a good library.

Meanwhile, if you’ve not noticed, I updated this site (thanks, Ruby!) in anticipation of my two new books publishing this Fall.

If curious, click the “HOME” button at the top of this page.

Thanks!
