“There are probably more jokes about Lawyers than any other types of people.It isn’t because what Lawers do is funny,they seldom tell jokes,and anything they get mixed up in,certainly isn’t funny.Well,maybe the answer is simply that they are usually so serious about themselves and what they do;that our only way to deal with them is through humor.I often tease a lawyer friend of mine that Lawyers spend their years in college practicing the arts of misrepresenting and deceiving things;and,that unless they are good at it;they will never succeed in being a Lawyer.Somehow;he never seems to come up with a retort to my statement,mainly because he knows I’m right.Therefore,we all love to tell jokes about Lawyers,and even though we love and need them in the end,we’ll continue to joke about them.
